Who are these guys, anyway? Who do they think they are?
Why, they are the new Folk DJs on TheRootsFm and they are about to air their first show on March 19 (sound the trumpets . . . or guitars) and will continue every Thursday from then on.
The show will air from 6:00-7:00PM on Thursday evenings and is called “The Folk Bag” … cuz that's the bag they're in.
There will be fun stories about yesteryear and the year before, great music and unexpected humor. Come one, come all -- Dusty and Pearl hit (ouch) the Internet airwaves.
TheRootsFM.org was voted the number one station in St. Louis by popular vote on St. Louis Magazine's A-List poll for 2025.

Dusty & Pearl had a wonderful experience working with Jacob at Red Pill Studio while recording our CD. We included some of our originals as well as some traditional and public domain songs. Judge's comments on our song “Mia” ("Run for the Border") that we entered in the 2024 Great American Song Contest. It was awarded as a Top Finalist in the Lyrics Category:

Back In The Studio 8-20-25
Here's a final picture of Pearl and Jacob as we finished up the recording at Red Pill Studios on 8-20-25. We had a blast with these recording sessions but we still needed to finalize the rough mixes, then Jacob's final mixes and masters. Next steps were CD artwork, credits, etc. , expertly handled by Disc Makers. We are finally done . Please view the artwork and credits on our "Store" page.
